What we do

Mission Statement: Meadowbrook Elementary PTO will support student learning and achievement by providing social and educational opportunities for the Meadowbrook community of students, families, and educators.

Goals:
• To provide community-building opportunities for students, families, and educators in a welcoming environment
• To communicate through a variety of modes with the Meadowbrook community to support connections between students, families, and educators
• To provide fund-raising opportunities to support our mission

Through a variety of fundraisers each year, the PTO raises $60,000 for Meadowbrook!

Our budget for the 2021-2022 school year has an expense of $73.53/student.  This is paid through the generous donations of our Meadowbrook families at our fundraisers and events throughout the year!

PTO Events

Carnival

The Meadowbrook Carnival is a fun social event for the families of Meadowbrook! This year's event will be held outside, with a variety of games and activities for all. Food trucks will be available to purchase dinner.

Many volunteers are needed day-of the event to make this a success.

In-school Bingo

The last week before winter break our students/staff take a break from learning and partake in a school-wide bingo event in the classroom.  Small prizes are handed out to many winners!

Restaurant Nights

Many local restaurants partner with Meadowbrook to help us raise funds! Throughout the year we will host restaurant nights; on that specific day, the restaurant will share a portion of their proceeds with Meadowbrook.

Meadowbrook Mingle

The Meadowbrook Mingle is our largest fundraiser of the year. This is our only Adult-only event throughout the year, giving the parents and caregivers a chance to come together, have a fun social evening, and raise money to support our children!

Service Night

Service night is our chance to give back to our community. The event is full of fun activities serving others and giving back to our community. https://servicenightatmeadowbrook.blogspot.com

Spring Fling/Movie Night

The newest event to hit Meadowbrook!
This spring we will be gathering to host a free outdoor movie for our Meadowbrook community. More details to come!

Run Meadowbrook Run

RMR takes place in the Spring and includes a 5K race and one-mile fun run, refreshments, and awards for the top student finishers. The goal of the event is to raise funds to construct outdoor recreational facilities at the school including a running path and kickball field. Another goal is to promote health and wellness in the school and within our larger community.

Book Fair

The book fair is hosted at a local book shop, the perfect opportunity to stock up on your holiday shopping needs, and give back to Meadowbrook at the same time!

Book Swap

The book swap is hosted by a team of amazing volunteers.  They collect books from Meadowbrook families/friends, and from the community.  The books are sorted at Meadowbrook, and every student is able to take home 2-5 books each at no cost to them.

Plant Sale

Get your gardens ready for the summer! The Plant Sale takes place in the spring each year. Volunteers organize sale of flowers, vegetables and plants in coordination with a local green house. Orders are placed online, and picked up at Meadowbrook on May 6th.
